BD-Live Ready

BD-Live ready is a simple and cost-effective way for studios to future-proof their Blu-ray titles. Working entirely in the background, BD-Live Ready ensures that studios can control the content on a disc after it ships.

With BD-Live Ready:

• Studios can add BD-Live features to BD-Live Ready discs after they are released to market:
• Studios can update BD-Live Ready disc contents at any time.
• Studios can anonymously track BD-Live Ready discs to inform future marketing, production and compatibility decision.

Upon startup, BD-Live Ready checks an Internet server controlled by the content owner to determine whether an update for the disc is available. Content and feature updates are managed directly by the content owner using web-based tools. If an update is available, it is downloaded to the player and integrated seamlessly with the on-disc content.

BD-Live Ready can be added to any Blu-ray disc with minimal effort from any C&A facility.
