RCDB and S&T Partner to Deliver Web Services Deep in the Cable Network
THE CABLE SHOW 2010, Los Angeles, May 11, 2010 - Related Content Database (RCDb) and Strategy & Technology (S&T) today announced a partnership to deliver interactive web services and data feeds deep in the cable network, showcasing the results of their collaboration at one of the industry's leading events.
RCDb and S&T will demonstrate together in the "My World, Powered by Cable" and CableNET exhibit areas during the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's The Cable Show 2010 being held May 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Visitors will experience web services and RCDb time-based movie information delivered over an object carousel powered by the S&T TSBroadcaster. The RCDb and S&T demonstration runs on tru2way and EBIF powered cable set-top boxes.

This enhanced movie experience, already proven in the Blu-ray world, is now available for service providers to expand the monetization opportunities from their existing networks."
Today's demonstration by RCDb and S&T breaks new ground in the synchronization of video stream events to tru2way and EBIF applications, and opens the door to new interactive features similar to those found on Blu-ray and DVD special editions.
The partnership empowers cable operators to efficiently provide useful and compelling web services that consumers love, advance innovation in their service roadmap, and leverage investments in their core network.

The demonstration is available during NCTA's The Cable Show 2010 and at RCDb offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
